Sanya Kantarovsky’s wallpaper expands on his minimalist aesthetic, informed by a specific cultural past. Using a black and white palette, his wallpaper features the stylized dandy shoe and leg caught in motion, the silhouette of a character featured in many of the artist’s recent paintings. Kantarovsky was born in Moscow, Russia and he lives and works in Los Angeles. Kantarovsky obtained his BFA from RISD and his MFA from UCLA. He is currently represented by Casey Kaplan in New York and the Marc Foxx Gallery in Los Angeles.
